TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Chairman of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani urged domestic media Tuesday to help strengthen national unity and reconciliation.

Addressing a group of media officials and staff, the cleric said those working for media should be careful ""to avoid providing subjective reports.""
Respecting public understanding, Rafsanjani said, ""As public knowledge has presently increased, any decision made through collective will, would hardly be wrong.""
Stressing freedom of criticism in the society, the cleric noted, ""While making criticisms, the media should be careful to act based on justice.""
